Like I said.....I agree that the Q's are fantastic speakers. They are exceptionally clear, and plenty loud. However, you will not get to utilize their full potential in an s2000. Period. I have had extensive experience with the Q's, and they need space to sound 100%. I dont doubt for one second that your sound is great, however, It would sound just as great and crisp with other speakers. The s2000 soundstage is terrible, so working around it is almost impossible. I have owned Q's in the past, (paid about 400 per pair) and was really happy with them. I think its a little overkill in the s2000. Plus, they are massive, so fitting would require work.

Just to clear up some cloudyness. I too wanted an audiphile system in my s2k.

I had on order brax components, DaVinci amplifier, and a DaVinci subwoofer. THis however was before I ever sat/drove in an s2k. When I heard how much sound interference there was in the car, (exaust, wind, etc) I decided that all the pure sound would be destroyed anyway, so it was just a waste of money.
So I opted for a powerful, clear, mildly priced system and could never be happier.

But like flitcroft said, one man's noise is another man's music.

lol...

put me on the MB Quarts are screeching banshees list if you don't mind...
imho, if you've got to use excessive EQ work to make a speaker sound right, then the speaker is really worthless and your EQ is what's gold. if that's your theory, you might as well buy BOSE.

i'm quite vocal about my love for Focals... but i also favor Infinity and Boston...
we still have no word from the thread originator on what he plans to spend, what he listens to, or even what his goals are...

this thread is simply a speaker pissing match until we actually get some input from him.
imho, speakers are the most subjective of any component of a stereo...

and finally -- the S2000 Audio FAQ covers a lot of these suggestions...
