Default Best Speaker Location EVER!

I have just spent 13 hours, but have installed some Pionner 6x9's speakers in my s2000. If you're wondering where I installed them, think of the the most hidden space in the whole interior compartment. (where the roof comes down and rests in the roof tray!) That's right, I drilled holes for the 6x9's in the rear roof well, and it sounds beautiful! Took me a very long time to dissasemble the rear tray, took out 8 self locking screws, but the good thing is that you don't have to take off the whole entire roof to do so, just leave the roof up and closed, start stretching, cause you're going to need to be pretty flexible. Undo the 8 screws, go back to the trunk and hammer out the 4 white screws behind the rear spare tire well. once you've accomplished this, take out the rear roof panel, and drill speaker holes to your size of liking. The speakers sound GREAT! but when the roof is down, sounds a little muffled. I'm planning on getting a more powerful amplifier to hopefullly boost the sound of the 6x9's. I'm also buying some custom rear speaker panels from lucid, i'm hoping this will make up for the muffled sound of the 6x9's when the roof is down. But when the roof is up, the system is bumpin! Tell me some comments or suggestions, THANKS =) -mark

That sounds like a great idea, except that the speaker grills might scratch the window over time.

I'm going to take some pics for you guys out there, its hard getting a camara to take pics of such a tightly packed area. I'll do my best. I put a thin sheet of black satan to cover the speaker grills, so it does not scratch my rear plastic window. =) -mark
