Best type of wire?
I'm going to be wiring my bluetooth stereo adapter in and have a question. When i've done wiring in the past i've just used stranded speaker wire for power and ground. What's the best type (stranded/solid) and gauge of wire to use for basic power/ground (not necessarily for speakers, but other things also).
solid 4/0 wire will be very reliable.
but, anything as small as stranded #18 would probably be fine, the power draw of that unit should be very small. Your speaker wire would work well. If it lists wattage or amperage I could tell you a specific gauge. If you want a size that will work for most things(not amplifiers) your doing, #12 is an overkill but safe option. Either way stranded wire is better for you because it is flexible.
