rewiring horn
i have a aftermarket horn and i need to rewire it, and i need a bit more of the cable. does anyone know what kind of wire i need to splice. the cable looks very small and dont know if its splicable with any cable.
to be a bit more detailed, its the clear one where u can see the wires inside.
and where can i get it? radio shack?

the "type" of wire in this case is not as important as the gauge, or size of wire. I would guess your existing wire is somewhere between 12 and 18 gauge, use 12 and you will be fine, yes radio shack carries 12 gauge wire. Also know the difference between braided wire and solid wire, braided is more flexible and can take repeated bending. Solid wire is stiff and will keep the bends you put in it, good for wire that goes in once and dosent move. Either will work for you, but I would go with braided.

If you need to pull more power through the 3A line from the stock horn you're going to blow a fuse or start a fire.
Get 16 or 18g wire and use a relay.
This will help you figure out a safe way to draw the additional power.
