Default Bite the bullet on store installation?

Hello everyone, I normally do installations myself but I've come across a problem this time around. I don't have the space nor time to do the install for an amp/components and have never went to a store to do this before. I already have all the parts (PDX 4.1, cables, wiring, PPI 356cs) for the S2000.

So, tough right? Might as well go to a local audio shop and do the install then! Here's what's stopping me.... there's only Best Buy and Lombards Auto Sounds in my local area (Santa Maria, CA) that look even remotely trustworthy.

Everybody has their opinion of Best Buy so i'll explain the other shop and why I'm hesitant with them.

I went to Lombards Audio earlier today and explained to them the situation. Basically, right off the bat, they told me that I might as well return my purchases and buy better stuff (obviously they mention Morel, etc) . Sorry guys, I don't have that kind of cash just lying around to afford Morel or Focal at the moment, but I still want better sound than what comes stock in the S2k. Their horrendous attitude and approach to customer service seriously turned me off in an instant, but I asked for the install price anyways. Came out to be roughly $250..... not too bad I suppose. Their installs, from what I have seen from friends, are ok but not the best.

So at this point both of the shops just aren't exactly what you would call great but I still would like to have my purchases installed.

I don't know where I should go

Try looking at other stores that might be a bit of a drive away... Best Buy isn't an audio shop and the audio shop you went to seems like they want to hustle you...

There have to be better options available to you -- especially if you're seriously considering Best Buy. Whether or not BB is any good is really luck of the draw regarding the particular installer you end up with. With odds not in your favor on top of that.

If you weren't so far away Id say, come to my best buy, ill do it right...

I cant vouch for the other install bays, because obviously im not the lead over there..
Some Best Buy install bays have gave us a bad name, but to this day I keep my reputation strong..
