I am recently experiencing an issue with my driver side speaker.
It randomly goes buzzing then no sound,.. after a min, starts buzzing as it gets clearer where its at normal.. but it doesnt stay clear too long..
and this happens on and off..
right now I just have my balance set to passenger side only.

My set up is
Alpine iDA x200 HD, Infinity reference 6020cs component systems, Alphasonik 4 ch amp, Alpine type R Sub..

I only had these speakers for 6 months and I don;t really get them too loud.
Is this a possible blown speaker? I checked all the connections and they were fine. Sometimes the speaker will go off when I hit a bump, then on when I hit another bump.. thats why I checked for any loose connection... but everything was ok.

Does anyone know if Crutchfield has warranty on their products in case if this is blwon?

hmm, sounds like a pinched speaker wire to me, worst case scenario is that either the amp or the crossover is having problems.

 

yea if speaker is clear at some point, then it's not blown, IMO

if it goes on/off with bumps, something is messed up between the radio and speaker. do you know what you're looking for when checking wires/connections?

 

I have checked the wires from the amp to crossover and to both speaker and tweater.
I actually called crutchfield and surprisingly they are sending me a new one. haha
I will find out soon if its the speaker.
