Well after 2 weeks...

The BT500 has a range of 7-10 feet

It fits well, I call jabra and the sent me a wind sox for the boom
FREE to help with any.... ANY wind noise.
The BT250 was a little bulky....really bad wind noise... even walking

Over all the BT500 is good... wish the range was better

I had the logitec.... 30-40 feet away from the phone... it was floppy
on my ear... every comfortable

Has anyone tried the HDW-3 from Nokia? Motorola also has a new headset out, called the H500 that is suppose to be better. However, you could always step up to the new RazrWire....

You can remove the bluetooth headset from the sunglasses and attach them to any other glasses or just have it sticking out of your ear. It does look kinda weird though.

i used to have the lara croft style back in the day and w/ the top down i could barely hear anything.

people i was talking to said the wind noise wasn't bad, though. IIRC, it was the HBH-15 model I was sporting. It had a hard time staying compared to other BT headsets I tried on, I dunno how my my beloved tomb raider was doing flips and shit with that thing on but oh well probably glued to her ear or something

I have a Verizon Treo 650 and the Palm Wireless Headset (3206WW), which can be had for $60-80. Works great, and uses the same charger as the treo.

Works very well in the wind. I've only had trouble hearing the speaker once, with top down going over 65 and in a high wind, and even then the other person could hear me fine. Comfortable and light, and feels fine with glasses. One drawback is that it doesn't operate while charging, so if you keep it in your car and it drains down, you can't use it until it's recharged.

Side question - is there an easy way to disable the power cutoff to the power outlet, i.e. keep the juice going when the power is off? I know this is a recipe for draining the battery, but the only thing I'll keep plugged in is the headset to keep it charged.
