I've found a USB to 2.5 phono adaptor. It's a Samsung part and I might buy it so I can figure out the pin assignments on the mini usb for the V3. In theory I should be able to get any wired headset and cut off the phono plug and attach a mini usb. Does anyone here have experience with this?
Colin,

Can you tell me where you found the mini USB to 2.5 phono adapter? I've been looking all over for one. I'd actually prefer to use a wired headset in the car. It's just easier for me.

Thanks!

Not BT, but the Plantronics MX505 works really well with the top down and windows up... Some road/wind noise, but your voice comes through loud and clear. Has a mute and volume conrtol remote on the wire. So on con-calls, I just hit mute until I've got to chime in. The fit was a little strange at first, but finaly figured it out and can't tell its there.

I haven't found anything that compares to theboom (theboom.com). The thing has a freaking incredible mic that cancels out all noise.

Only drawbacks are that it's wired (no bluetooth) and that it's $149. But it's no joke. Hands down the best performing headset ever.

If only it came with bluetooth.

next week the BT comes out

Well after 8 months...
I've been using the Jarba BT500 it work well.. once and a while it connect and disconntects
not sure why?
I have the Rokr itunes phone.. maybe the BT signal is poor from the phone?

The BT500 works great with tod down and windows up.. I called Jarba and if you ask them the will send you a foam wind sock to cut down wind noise.. Free.. I have it on and people sometime do not say anything... lke with the other BT sets I have owned and returned
