This is driving me insane,

The light on the dashboard that indicates that the bootlid is open comes on and off at will. Before I go too far in dismantling/inevitably breaking something,can anyone give me a steer to what could be wrong.

The sensor must be in the catch assembly in the lid, anyone had this problem before?

It couldn't be a bad earth could it?

Latch might need to be adjusted, or the latch itself it taking a dump and going bad.

 

I know you probably wrote something but I couldn't get my eyes past Swifty.
