Default Boston GT-22: low level hum?

i'm getting a really really low level hum out of my Boston GT-22 and was wondering if any of the other Boston users out there noticed the same thing? is it just amp noise or should i be looking somewhere else? its only audible at very low volume or mute and is monotone; no increasing with revs or anything of the sort that would lead me to believe it's engine noise related. just live with it?

thanks!

where are your RCA cables in relation to the power cables? (What side did you run the power and RCA's on?)

Might be EMI.

amp is under the drivers seat, power comes in the grommit on the driver's side firewall, rca's are run on the high side of the drivers side tunnel and then directly down to the amp. it doesn't sound like emi but i could definitely be wrong. it sounds more like the amp just has some noise in it from the factory?
