Default bridging a 4-channel amp

exactly how do i bridge this amp? i am not going to put rear speakers in for a while so i figure i may as well get the extra power out of it. I know i use the right rear + and the left rear - terminals but i'm not sure exactly what goes into them? then i can just use a single female to 2 male RCA Y cable to connect the RCAs to the front and rear inputs, correct?

From the owner's manual on jbl's site, it looks like you plug your front left RCA into the rear left input and the front right RCA into the front right input on the amp. Leave the other inputs disconnected. That's the same configuration as my Blaupunkt.

im not talking about the RCAs, i'm talking about the speaker wire. Do i put both positives into the one positive terminal and both negatives into the negative? here is the manual...

Yes that's how you do it. Or you can purchase a speaker distribution block. There is another way but don't worry about it. Just do it one of these two ways above.

You may need to set both of the 'input mode' switches to 'MD' on the amp. You may also want to try moving your right RCA cable (Red in the diagram above) down to the RCA input marked for Left Front. The manual is not terribly clear on bridging.

However it's done - either with the switch or with Y-cables - the idea is to get an input signal to both left and right sides of the amplifier. So in your case you need to get signals to the left and right of both front and rear. I would guess that SC is right about the MD switch, it may indicate "monaural", which feeds the same signal to both left and right.
