A/C Condensation Leaking into CD Player
Just curious if anyone else had a similar problem to me. I found that when the AC is on the convertible setting (so that it exits the vents right above the radio), there seems to be water leakage inside the player itself. I don't know if theres a fix for this, but I worry that my CD player will be damaged. It stopped working yesterday (turned on but there was no volume)...it started working again today.
Wow, that sucks. Is it really humid in your part of the country? Might try removing the radio and applying some pipe wrap tape on top of it, but be careful, as this could lead to heat build up in the radio itself.
Check your freon too (or have a shop do it if your not sure what to check or how to check). When your freon is low, you will develop more condensation inside the vents. Maybe you have seen the "mist coming from your vents" effect. That would be condensation. You may have a leak, and it may be just about to fail.
I would find out why its doing this, you don't need water inside your dash, or leaking onto your electronics.
