can i jumpstart another car with my s2000?

Default can i jumpstart another car with my s2000?

is it safe...im scared of messing up my ecu...
as long as i do it correctly...i shouldnt have a problem right?

theres always a risk, just make sure you dont get your wires crossed.

i usually do ground to ground first then positive to positive and make sure whoever is helping you is familiar with the procedure of jump starting.

When you read the manual, it tells you to go postive to positive, then ground to ground... I am guessing that that's to keep things as isolated as possible. Hooking up mutual groundings can cause issues if the other car has a bad round. It's unlikely but.. hey if that's what my manual says, then I'll stick by that.

I have had my car jumped by my sis's CRV, and I have u sed my S to jumpstart my sis's CVR (separate times...) as well as another car. As long as you take things easy, and follow the right steps, it's not a problem. Just got to try and not jump start a truck... That might be to much load on the battery!
