Default Can Kicker 12" Comp VR Subs be painted?

I just got some Kicker '07 Comp VR subwoofers from a friend who wrecked his car and needed someone to buy them off him so he could pay for the repairs to his Prelude. So, I became the proud new owner of these two massive subwoofers, their hundred pound box, and a few other things. (My trunk is gone now, but I ordered a new box, and I plan to only keep one of them.

I have them all wired up, and this isn't so much about electronics or sound, but it fell into this category. The Comp VRs come painted shiny silver (the paint is scratched and peeling in some spots) with red logos, and I would like to keep the red logos but paint the rest of the cone gloss black. Is this at all possible, and if so, do you have any recommendations?

you will need to sand off all the old paint. Then use Bulldog. Its a plastic sealant which allow the paint to stick better.

Thanks so much. Is Bulldog locally available, and if so, should any Lowe's or Home Depot hardware store carry it? Or is it something I have to order online?

yeah you'd want to have it professionally done. not a rattle can project unless you want a repeat of what is currently wrong with your subs

Thanks. I am an IT specialist for an auto body shop, so I can probably ask my boss if he has any experience with that, maybe he'll do it for me... (As you can tell, I'm more or less a DIY kind of person, so I'd prefer to do it myself.)

Thanks for your advice!
