Parallel power locks to work after alarm install?
I had a Viper 5901 installed a few weeks ago and was told that I'd lose the manual parallel lock ability with the alarm since it taps into the lock circuitry.
What I'm talking about is that before the alarm install, I could lock both doors while I'm INSIDE by just hitting the driver's side lock. This doesn't happen anymore.
The doors still lock and unlock just fine using the alarm remote, as expected.
I was just curious if there's a solution to this.
Thanks in advance.

I'm pretty sure your installer hooked up the lock interface incorrectly. I just double checked mine and they both still lock when using the drivers side switch. You may want to have them check this or at least explain why they can't make it work as intended. The Viper should not change the way anything operates unless wired to do so.
I just realized that the interior trunk button didn't work. After finding out that it shared the same fuse as the power locks, I decided to check the fuse. Lo and behold, the fuse was blown. I replaced it and everything works again!
