Default CD reads and plays but no sound

just installed the unit and the cd wont make a sound, but as soon as i switch it to the tuner, it works fine.

radio harness wiring wise, i only have the constant accessory and ground hooked up. im using RCA's for the signal input.

could this be a problem with the actual headunit?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

i think i found the issue. its the remote wire. i have it hooked up to the unit side and i believe its the wrong wire. the radio works fine because i have it hooked up to the ant controller and instead of wiring to its actual remote wire.

I've made that same mistake, hooking it up to the power antenna instead of the amp turn on

would you happen to know which wire on the harness side is for the remote turn on?

our cars don't have a remote turn on since we don't have a factory amp. We do have a blue wire which is for power antenna. (this is for the Honda plug, not the Kenwood plug)

Also, even though you have the problem fixed, most Kenwoods have a brown wire in the harness. Make sure that wire isn't connected to anything that would supply a ground. It's the mute wire and will mute the radio(on any source) if it "sees" a ground signal. Just FYI.

There should be a blue/white wire in the Kenwood harness which is
the amp turn-on.
