Default cheap coaxial speaTer advice

Hey guys,

So, I'm on a tight budget here, and would like to get rid of the stock speakers.

I drive an my00 so no componets for me, and I'm going to keep it that way, for monetary reasons.

These speakers will be powered off my deck, about 22 watts RMS, and I have no plans for an amp anytime soon.

The two sets of speakers I've been looking at are the Bostons FX6 and the Alpine SPS-1701a.

Any advice regarding these two, or any new suggestions would be much aprreciated. I want to stay around $100 a pair.

Since these will be my only two speakers, I'm really looking for a jack of all trades type speaker that can do everything at least decently.

Okay,

How about the Boston RM6's? or a Kenwood eXcelon model?

The main concern I have is that these will be my only speakers, and while the bostons have a nice sensitivity (95db), they have a so so frequency response of 50hz at the low end.

The Kenwoods have as better low end of 35 hz, but have a sensitivity of 93db.

So help me decide!!!!!!

actually -- those have a fairly high sensitivity... they could do well off of OEM HU power.

generally speaking, look for coaxials with high sensitivities (above 90 dB/W/m) and choose based on what suits your tastes.

both the Infinity Reference series and the lower end Polk coaxials are a nice buy.

i'm not familiar with the Bostons you mentioned.
