Default Come on, sell it to me

ok, here's my current wishes.

I have an '02, would like to add the rear panels, what speakers do people recommend for the rears?

also, will replacing the speakers on the doors make much of a difference without swapping the head unit? any recommendations for tweeters that'll fit / door speakers?

also i think that it's much cooler to have the mute button turn on and off the system rather than mute it is it possible to do this with the '02 unit?

any help?

In a 2002 I would also like to know if replacing the stock front speakers will make a diference with the stock head unit. Also, what size and brand or brand of tweeters can I replace the stock tweeters with.

Before you get too deep why don't you do one thing at a time and hear for yourself if each change is enough. I have an '00 and if I knew then what I know now, I would have simply added rear speakers and be done with it. This single addition was enough for me. It may not be for you. Check out Lucid's web site. He has the harness that will allow you to keep the mute button for the rears. This harness is worth the price even if that's the only thing you buy from him. Of course, he can sell you the rear panels with the speakers already installed, too.

Yes, even if you have a great head unit and bad speakers, it will sound bad. Remember the speakers are the only part of your stereo that actually produces the sound, so this is not a place to cheap out. Now this does not mean it will sound as good or better than a system with a good head unit, but it will be better than the "stock" sound.

For speaker selection, go to Lucid's web site, he sells everything you will need, from wiring harness to 4 speaker setup with the rear panels.
