Default Component speaker fitment question, help!

So I've got an old set of MB Quart 6.5 component with 1" tweeters which I used to have installed in my Accord back in the day.

I've read about issues regarding how a lot of components have installation issues on the S because of speaker depth.

Does anyone know if these will fit? These are pretty old skool components, so I wasn't able to find anything on google regarding these speakers fitting an S.

Any advice will be appreciated...thanks.

I have the MB Quart 160 in my S2000. All you need are 1/2" Spacers for the big speakers in the doors. I have placed the Tweeters in the uper part of my door panel.

MB Quart is a very good speaker system! Love it....

cause of this would be the factory basket, just cut them out.

bpaspi- I'll look into the spacers....when you say you installed the tweeters in the upper part of the door panel, do you mean you installed it where the original factory tweeter is located?

vspc2nr- Just in case I can't find/get the spacers, if i decide to put the factory speakers back in one day, will cutting out the factory basket prevent me from doing that?

Thanks guys for the info...very helpful!

I have a MY99. No factory tweeters. So I cutted a Hole in the panel and installed the MB Quart Tweeter.
I would not cut the factory basket for the bigger speaker. Just make an 1/2" Spacer yourself out of plywood. That's how I did it. Theres plenty of space to the doorpanel.
