Default Connecting Ipod to a JDM Stock HU

Hi guys,

Did some searching for the above in the japan thread and google, but couldnt find anything.

Hoping you audiojunkies can help.

My car is a stock JDM import with stock JDM stereo. 2005 AP1 from japan!
Was wondering if anyone knows what to use as an Ipod Connector.

I dont know if any of them works with the JDM stereo, as most stores selling the systems are based in the US and are basing them on USDM models.

Didnt really want to change to a different HU as well because am afraid DCI, remote interface for the dash controls might not work with a JDM car?

So I thought I will just hook up an Ipod, but the problem is how!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Converter to make the CD Changer input an aux input then mini stereo jack to stereo RCA from the iPod to the radio then a source to get power to the ipod. One of the OEM Ipod interfaces might also work like the ones for the USDM radios (I doubt the JDM one has a different plug but you never know..)

The DCI would work fine with a JDM car I'd imagine, it's a pretty simple concept that's used by everyone.

Hello, i've bought a '05 JDM hu last december, i like the MD and cd into one HU, but the jdm radio frequency in Italy are too bad
I have also a USDM HU and I tell you they are intercambiable!!!

The USDM,JDM,EU stock radio work perfecly into all s2000

You can put into your s2000 the usdm head unit without problems

Bye Luca..

HI psychichi, not changing the head unit, but for ure problem with the radio,
you can just get a attachment for your radio which will up the frequency for the radio by 12-14 mhz.
I did that for mine, so when i listen to 95.0 fm here, it shows 83.0 fm on the radio.

Thanks for the help guys, will try it out.

Jon

Ooh, that would be hard,
you can search on google, but best would be to go to your local audio shop and ask them for one. Especially a shop that deals with imports

Here they sell one on the website
