connectors questions
What sort of snap/quick connectors should I use to easily connect/disconnect speaker wires?
I'm into autox and need to quickly remove the amp. So instead of unscrewing 8 speaker wires terminals, it would be great if I can just yank off some connectors.
Will this stuff works?

how about this?

Thanks in advance

those would probably work, but they wouldn't be my first choice...
for power, try something like these:

and for speakers, you could do something like:

or this

and

or

we use 1/4" connectors soldered into speaker wire runs all the time for high power applications for pro audio...

Hi:
I would definately go with Phillips second recomendation for power connections, but as you wanted to also disconnect 8 speaker wires I would recomnend a high amperage connector that will handle 8 or more wires. I note that you are in the Bay area. Try one of the electrical surplus houses. I have used cinch Jones multiple connector disconnects in the past, the advantage is you don't have to check to see which connector plugs in which every time you reconnect. As to the input connections the 1/4 inch will work well.

Since you are in the bay area, you can get 0.093" molex connectors at Fry's. The 9 pole model is good for 9 A per connection. If you are worried about that, you can get one with more circuits and use two pins per wire. Fast, easy, and available.
