Convertible top rattle - subwoofer
I purchased a black '00 S2k with 30,000 miles at the end of June and absolutely love the car. I recently replaced the interior speakers and installed Infinty tweeters in the headrests. My install also included an Alpine 10" sub and a pair of Alpine amps powering the sub and interior speakers. The sound is absolutely amazing, but with the convertible top UP, it rattles like crazy.
Of course some of the rattling is to be expected, but with the top up EVERYTHING seems to rattle in the interior of the car. With the top DOWN I am absolutely amazed how deep and rich the bass is from a 10" sub, but when I have the top up I have to almost turn the subwoofer OFF so there is no rattling.
I would imagine that several of you have experienced this problem, so can you please provide some insight as to what I can to to resolve this? I would imagine a little Dynamat wouldn't hurt, but where should I put it?
Please advise.
Thanks.

Check the plastic convertible tray behind the seats. This was the main culprit in may car. Make sure it is tighly fastened. What wattage are you running to the sub? You may need Dynamat (or similar product) to sound insulate the top of the trunk, and the convertible tray.
