Thanks guys...
Hey Kronos, what did you use for the spacer, I know you said foam but from where?

And as far as the amps go, I ordered the RF 501s 125WX2 @4ohms for the fronts
and RF 501bd mono amp 500WX1 @2ohms, for the sub, is that good?

Thanks again guys for the info.

sounds good for the amps -- just be careful with the sub amp... that's slightly hot for the e8a. if you're not familiar with setting gains for amps, seek some assistance on it...

Ronnuke,

I used a piece of 1/2" foam that I believe came from Sears. The stuff that they sell to line tool boxes. Quite sturdy with just a little give.

A couple of things I noticed while reading through this:

1) While 5.25's will fit in the rear panels, not all will. In fact, any speaker with a large magnet is not likely to fit. Take the panels off and have a look. There's a lot less space back there than you may think.

2) The 6.5" that will fit in the front are the Euro Frame size. That size does not require a Lucid Adapter. It will also not necessarily drop right in - as is the problem I am having with my 6.5" Kickers.

I hope you took the time to put a little paint on the bare metal after making the cuts. My guess is that that part of the door may be exposed to moisture and may be at risk for rusting. Otherwise you may need to find a 7" speaker the next time

I like the Eclipse sound...although it has been too cold for top down listening. That will be the real test. Pretty sure I am going ahead with the rear 5.25" for fill. They seem to have a deeper more mello sound...not so bright. Which is what I prefer.

Oh and yes...I did touch up the paint.
