Unrelated question. Do you have any issue with the weight on the mirror using that radar detector blendmount?
No, I have not issues at all and sometimes when I am at work (Private parking) I leave the radar detector on the blendmount and the mirror never moves.
Here is a dash cam installed on my S2000, 3M double stuck to my rear view mirror. I tapped power from behind the cigarette power source, and ran the rear camera cable through the license plate light grommet. It records about 1 hour of videos recording both front and rear segmented in 3 minute intervals. Pressing the lock options prevents over write of existing recordings.
When the top is down, I cannot see the camera image as it gets washed out with daylight and only see reflections on the mirror. When the top is up, I toggle flip the rear view mirror and only see the camera image with no mirror reflections.
