Default DCI Interface.

hey guys is this what i need so i can use the controls left of the steering wheel?
http://marketplace.s2ki.com/s2ki/product.p...85&cat=0&page=1

and also should i get the alpine wired dci, or the alpine Ir dci?
sorry for the noob question am not much of a electronic junkie.
I know i dont want a sensor i want it hard wired and am thinking the ir is a sensor?
Am i correct in assuming that?
It'll work with the alpine 9857 right guys?

If your Alpine unit has a wired remote jack then get the wired. If not, the IR. And yes, it is what you want to retain dash controls.

The 9857 does use a wired remote interface, so you can get the wired model.

I would think the IR, since the wired only works for the newer models.

Don't forget to get the Modifry wiring harness... otherwise have some t-taps to wire into original harness.
