Disabling Kenwood mask?

Actually, it looks like the 759 and 859s were ok and it was some weird quirk with wiring. So go for it.

Just FYI, the 759 didn't look good with it pushed back to get mask clearance, so I went with the 559 since I have the Keg for MP3/WMA.

The keg is a kenwood mp3 player for 10 gig cartridges.

So if you had to install a flip-face Kenwood, is there room behind the deck to push it back further? I have a older 803 model that I really want to keep.

Definitely not. Well, may 1/8inch but i doubt that'll stop it hitting the inside of the HU cover.

Seriously, just put it in and see if the way it hits and opens the HU door annoys you - if it does, take it out!

you need about .5 inches with the new kenwood dmask flip units. we pushed a 759 back far enough that it didn't hit, and it looked like crap back that far. you could cut the flaps off the inside of the car radio cover and gain a little bit back, like .2 inches.
