door open wire and accessory wire
the point is shift...
in the previous thread, it became clear that while doing you best, you were somewhat misguided.
and here again... while doing your best, again somewhat misguided.

What Phil is trying to point out, is that you shouldn't be just digging around? You don't want to make a mistake. Its very easy for bad things to happen to a cars electrical system if you just start 'Digging around' if you don't know what your doing. Its best to assume that most people don't know the first thing about a cars wiring, (which is totally fine, because everyone here started somewhere along the line and at that starting point knew nothing, we all have had to learn this trade you weren't born with it.)
The point is, you should give exact location and exact directions. With pictures if at all possible. Most people in this forum like things explained clear and understandable (with pictures) for others who might not have a clue what they doing, because this is the first car install their attemping.
The group of us here have a pretty good knowledge of car electronics, between us all, and are all willing to learn from each other. We DON'T assume to know it all, but we're ok with that. We may even disagree on some things but in the end we respect each other and can move on. Your new here and so far I can tell most people don't really like you... for one reason or another,... however I can tell you this, if you weren't so damn arrogant half the time, people might and I stress might come around... but now your fighting an uphill battle.
You and I have had it out a few times already, and I can see others feel the same way. It might be time for you to just start over, because you have a very harsh way about yourself (like you know everything and if its not done your way its wrong). Try using a little tact
For example: if you see something that's wrong, try correcting the statement in a way that makes it looks like your just trying to clarify it, don't just blurt out HEY YOUR WRONG YOU SHOULD DO IT THIS WAY. Because just they didn't do it the way you would have, doesn't make it wrong.
What you said in this thread may be correct, however the way you state how to go about it is just not a great idea.
.... GOSH that was a lot of typing.... I need a beer...
Shifty,.. you really just need to relax, and come to the realization that as it turns out, you may have yet the need to learn something new because I can pretty much guarantee you don't know as much I you think...
But either way cheers

Point is, just because a wire changes voltage when you flip a switch or turn the ignition ON doesn't mean it's "the one" you should connect to

At first glance, it has everything you need... 12V one moment, ground the next. Seems perfect to hook an accessory to, right?
Wrong! It's a low current system. At best, you take a real chance at drawing enough current to prevent the system from working properly. At worst, you draw so much current as to destroy the entire subcircuit.
That's what it means...
excuse the terminology...by 'digging around' I meant the way it looks when you have to contort your body to get up in the kick panel to do the wiring.
The S2000 isnt as bad as say a c3 or c4 vette but the small space constraints make for some awkward body positioning while installin an alarm for example.
this is of course if you assume the person has absolutely, positively no electrical experience what so ever. This guy says hes looking for the door pin and the lights, not just any random power wire.
and ya cant really call it digging around if the exact location and wire colors are provided...like I said, its just a figure of speech.
I myself have more than enough experience with wiring vehicles and wouldnt instruct someone improperly if I didnt know myself. If I didnt know it, I wouldnt post it.
If thats not the pot calling the kettle black, I dont know what is. Im not on here to make friends, I couldnt care less if someone doesnt like me...were not in grade school are we? And lets not mistake arrogance with defense. You call me a name, I call you a name...isnt that the way it works? I would never just come out and start making fun of someone or degrade them in any way unless they did so to me. Even then I still might not. You lashed out at me first for no reason, remember...or should I post the rude pms you sent me the first day(s) I was here?

Want an example? Take the door pin.

Your such a tool. Why do you even come here? I really want to know, why do you come to a place where most people don't like you? You have some VERY serious issues!
