Drilling a hole in the bottom of the glove box
Yet another question for the gurus out there...
I need to drill a hole in the glove box to run an iPod cable. My plan is to run the cable under the glove box, through the inside of the center console and back out under the head unit and into the passenger side dash where the KCA-420i is located.
I removed the vent panel behind the driver's seat to try and take a look behind the glove box assembly with an extendable mirror but I couldn't really make anything out. I did see the cigarette lighter assembly and wiring...
I don't want to remove the whole glove box/secret compartment assembly to drill this hole. Can I assume that if I drill a hole at the back of the glove box towards the bottom that it will lead to the right place?
Thanks for any help!

Option #1
If you can pull up the center console top plate and remove the other vent you can remove the clips and see behind and around that space.Don't try to just drill holes where ever because there's a lot of metal to run into back there. That's way I prefer option #2
Option #2
You can remove the space tire cover panel and one to the left, remove the tire itself and see right into the area your talking about, and you can drill into the box section. I've done it both way and I prefer #2. Its less work. Just make sure you use the right size bit the first time. Even if you think the bit looks big enough, grab a junk/scrap piece of wood and do a quick test run just to be sure the old measure twice cut once thing

Here's a vew you don't often see - the back of the glove box. Note there is very little room below the BACK of the glove box, but plenty on either side.
Now look at this view. You can see there is a bunch of room at the front of the glove box but you should stay away from the center where the power socket is located.
