Default dynaudio 8"

do you guys think a dyanudio 8" midrange would fit in the stock woofer location? I know the depth of the 8 is only 3 inches, and thatll fit w/ a good spacer i just would like to know if anyone has tried an 8" woofer in the stock location or a 7 1/2".

If you want it in there bad enough anything will fit
But i cant say that i have taken a shot at that yet all i have at the moment is the Alpine SPX-177a's, with the right spacers you will most likly have success. And if you do fit them i want to see pics, mmmm dynaudio is goood.

well the frequencey response on the 8" goes all the way down to 40hz, which was one of my main reasons for goin w/ the 8", another is so that itll handle my amps power a lil better. I have a jl 300/2 150w per channel. The 5 3/4 i have now are only supposed to handle 100, and the 7" are supposed to handle 130, and 8" 150 which will match my amp rating. I dont really know why dynaudio doesnt match its models w/ its measurment anymore but the site said the 8" is 200mm or whatever.

don't worry about power...there are many 6.5s out that can handle the power. I would stay away from the 8s...unless you have the right airspace behind them, your not going to get the freq. response you are looking for.

Another thing you need to consider is that the 8 probably won't go as high as the 6.5 so your tweeter will have to work lower or you will end up with a hole in the spectrum.
