got it

i'll take a few pics if anyone wants. this thing is massive, it says 10lbs on the UPS box but that is BS it easily weighs 15lbs and it looks like a monster! the box is strained from the weight of the woofer.

the spider is absolutely beautiful, the magnet is super large.

QC card is signed by Ben too.

too bad i gotta go out of town for the rest of the week! won't be able to finish the box till this weekend, subwoofer amp won't come in till late next week too. grrr!

Good to hear! I'm still waiting on my tracking number -- requested it via email a few days ago. By all means, grab some pics!

sc,

send them another request. i asked for my tracking number this morning and it came about 1 hour later. your's must've been lost.

on a slightly related note, does anyone know where i can find hex-type security screws locally? i ordered some from partsexpress last nite (along with a bunch of other little things) and i order only 5 (not thinking i needed 6, brain freeze). I could always use a regular screw but matching ones would make me not feel like a dumba$$

i'll try to get pics up this evening, if i don't get them up then you're SOL until you get your's, but pics will not do it justice, the sheer heft of the thing is amazing. it definately feels like quality

First blush tells me the Kicker Grill is not going to work. I will talking to my machuine shop buddy to see if he can CNC us something out of aluminum for a decent price.

i had the woofer sent to my work address which makes a world of difference in the service dept. i checked the tracking and it was delivered within 20 minutes of the tracking site being updated.

they do not require a sig so make sure someone gets it out of the weather. the box is not water proof.

the kicker grill looks doubtful, i have one on the way too so i'll update if william doesn't get it before me. i don't think the audiobahn will fit, the surrounds are pretty large--there is some room on the audiobahn grill but still this sub is big around the edges.

Guess what I found sitting on my desk when I got back from an extended lunch.

By the way SC - your UPS tracking number from ED was 1Z 5YY 107 03 4046 917 7.

I will get this thing going ASAP and get some finished product pictures out this weekend. Still not sure what we are going to do for a grill.

EDIT: by the way - the pictures linked above, although clear and of good quality, do not do this piece of work justice.

- William
