I want to get this but I was wondering if this would fit in the S. My main concern is the tweeters.
The mounting depth of the speaker is 2.80". BUT the tweeter mesh grill is PERMANENTLY attatched to the driver and the overall dront diameter is 2.05".
According to EDI it will fit my S as long as I leave a 1/18" spacing ?
So does anyone here have this speaker in their S ? Or anyone here think it will fits ? Thanks.

 

I have the 6500s's in my S... I removed the stock tweeter from the pod and installed the 6500s's tweets in the pod w/o problem.

the woofer installed with the help of a 3/4" MDF spacer.
