could you make a bigger enclosure that would have a cut out for the boot to close, thus giving way for a more powerful sub to be housed ? i did see one which badboy3600 did link is below, its about half way down on page one. just interested if it would work and how well.

still unsure what way to go but i really like your enclosure.

The post just above yours shows a custom enclosure I did for an 8W7

I am not sure if I could do it with a 10" sub and you are really limited as to what subs will work in a small enclosure. Currently the eD Kv and Ov subs are the only 10" I am aware of that will run in an ~0.4ft^3 sealed volume and still sound good.

You can order whenever you like - subs should arrive mid-next week.

Yeah - unfortunately the enclosure would need a major rework in order to fit the Ov.11 because of the mounting depth.

I was gonna do PJ's ala the JL 8W7 I did for someone (see below)

Its alot of work that I just do not have time for right now - in the process making a major career change decision to leave corporate america and strike off on my own (not subwoofer related ).

Subs (Kv.11) are on their way - got the email today, wohoo

ah. that would explain how you planned to do it.

the e8A went out via FedEx ground today to Iowa.

PM sent.

I am planning to get only one sub, which side would give better sound quality? The sub is where the spare was so a right side would be a shorter run, but a left side would be directly behind the driver.

Side does not really matter for sound - the fitment on the passenger side is better since the spare tire cover protrudes into the trunk over there anyway.
