Default Is this everything I need to install H/U and speakers?

Hey guys I'm completely new to car audio. I just wanted to make sure I bought all the correct items to install a head unit and speakers.

I need a speaker harness = http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-METRA-72...-/160560649553

and then I need http://www.modifry.com/products/dci/pnp.htm for the head unit right?

That's all I need aside from the Head unit and speakers?

I'll be ordering an Alpine Alpine CDE-137BT head unit and the Polk Polk Audio db651s shallow mount speakers. This should give me a nice bump over the stock system which I think is blown.

You should be good with that. Make sure you get the wiring harness as well as the DCI unit from modifry.

My personal opinion on just swapping out the HU and speakers is that its not going to be as nice as you thought it would be for the money you're spending...

Think about investing in a small amp, will make a world of difference compared to just speakers and a HU.

However start with this, see how you like it and if its good enough and go from there. Also may need to modify your stock speaker baskets to get the speakers to fit.

I have the db651s as well and I managed to get the mounting plate that they send to fit with a little bit of effort but yeah you should be good to go.

Just make sure you unplug the battery before you touch anything

Already stated above but +1 on making sure that you get the DCI and the PnP harness. A lot of people mistakenly refer to the DCI as a harness (though your link shows that they're 2 entirely separate things). If you only get the harness you'll be disappointed when you try to use the dash controls without the DCI.

Yep, speaker harnesses (2), a Honda harness, and the DCI (usually this comes with a honda harness if I remember right...it's been 8 years since I bought mine).

A radio and speakers will be a good improvement. Amp really ups the improvement, though. You wouldn't think it would, but it does. I run 50W to Alpine Type R components and they sound great.

I'd add Dynamats for the doors, and a good amp. An external mic is also nice as the S is kinda loud.

Thanks for the help guys. Btw, is there any way to add amps without cutting up the interior whatsoever?

Most definitely, no cutting needed at all, just would need to remove some panels to hide the wiring.

Wiring

Running power cable to trunk

wiring to center console

Since its your first time running through it, take your time with it... make sure you have everything you need and don't get frustrated when you can't fit the wires through the grommets or something doesn't work..

Also invest in a multimeter. Extremely important to have when you're working with electronics
