Default MP3 Head unit and speakers

Hi,

Anyone recommend the best replacement head unit (with dash control option) and MP3 playing capabilities... along with replacement speakers ?

Thanks,

Paul.

A good price/punch performance is the Alpine 7893r+kce865b.

A sweet combo. Can`t help on the speaker front, sorry.

Lupen. I'll be having a go at installing the Alpine 7893r+kce865b combo this weekend so I'll let you know what it's like.

On the speaker front I've gone for some Kenwood KFCP703 component speakers. They are the closest that I can find to the drop-in Kenwoods on Lucid's site. I need to get hold of the speaker adapter leads before I have a go with these. Plus there's the issue of how to swap the component kit over, but I've got another thread open on that.

If you have not got the kenwood speakers yet, you can have the ones Lucid provides on his site for nothing.
I have replaced them and they are just sitting around collecting dust. They still have the harness' on them as well I believe (as I mentioned in the other post).

But you can't go wrong with the Alpine head unit, I am very impressed with my 7894.
