Default Fold out Navigation

Since getting OEM nav in my land rover, I can't imagine life without it. I've got my heart set on buying an AP1, and 'figured' I would just throw in a fold out screen navigation unit like THIS but in my browsing realized I haven't seen an s2k with a similiar setup. Then, I started wondering with the radio door and dash style...can these even work? Can anyone set the record straight for me? Is this a plug and play option?

Wow. Forum member for over 5 years, and don't own an s2k? That's dedication... For most in-dash navs, you have to have the dash cut and a screen mounted in the hump of the dash. That's the only way I've seen it. Someone else also did one where they removed the entire framework in the stock radio location, vents and all, and put in a double din unit there.

That's the only options I've seen. Hope this helps.

Have you checked any of the existing threads? Won't work due to the shifter or the dash above the space for the head unit.

Close your eyes and just imagine. Now then.....see it wasnt THAT hard was it?

When you do finally get your AP1, you will soon find out there is more to life than Tom Tom. If the sheer thrill of the car and its capabilities dont stir your heart then perhaps the S isnt your car?
