Default Front Speakers Question

Hey I'm looking for some good front speakers that are a great fit that do not need spacers or anything like that. Can you guys tell me what kind of speakers you guys have and what you think of them? I was thinking of getting some Alpine Type S speakers.

That is the ones I have, but highly recommend you get a decent amp with them if you don't already have one.

Did you have to use any spacers or were they a perfect fit? Are you using an Amp for yours? Where did you put your Amp if you did?

I think they were a perfect fit, but had them installed by my local installer. As for the amp, I had it installed under the passenger side seat.

If you have factory tweeters, get a component system or it's going to sound "off".

The Polk db6501 is a decent setup and is available for under $200.

Yeah I like the Alpines and stuff but I'm hearing our depth size of speakers is only 2". So trying to find out what kind of good speakers out there that would be a good fit without needing spacers. Cuz if we had to use spacers we wouldnt be able to put the door panel back on correct?

no, that last part is incorrect. you can use a custom spacer and still have clearance for the door panel to be put back on.

update: take a look at this thread. you can also just cutoff the back of the stock bracket, and use that as a "spacer."
