I am trying to hardwire my escort passport x50. I dont want to buy the 30 dollar kit, so im using a telephone wire and a fuse. I need to know what size fuse to use. The detector uses 12V but i dont know the amps. Can anyone help me out?

 

10 amp / 12 volt.

it's what i'm using in mine, and i've long since verified this w/ other owners who bought the OEM kit.
