I wanted a rear view mirror with homelink and backup camera display feature.

I was able to make it work for the rear display on both the mirror and the radio. Both currently show the rear camera, but I will be adding another camera for the front since the stereo has a front video input.



Gentex mirror model: GHSHL4 has exactly what I wanted. I found one on eBay.



Rydeen model: CM-MINy3 backup camera has the option for both front and rear setup. It is also very small compared to other brands.



Stereo model: CP-71W



You will need RCA splitter if you are running a dual screen setup.



1. One short RCA video splitter connection at the back of the stereo

1. 6ft long RCA-bare wire to make the connection from the Gentex mirror.



Use a heat gun to remove the OEM mirror mount. Heat the mount in circular motions for about one minute, or until you can pull the mount off easily with pliers. Don’t forget to place a towel on your dash in case the hot mount drops.
