Default Grounding Amps

Hello,

I have 2 Diamond Audio amps hooked up in my car. When I ground them should they both ground in the same spot?

It's almost required. Straight sub amps are a little more forgiving as far as ground loops go, which cause that horrendous whine when accelerating. Sub amps generally dont play above 200hz, give or take, and the associated whine would be at a far higher frequency.

Full range amps are another story, it is a must.

Grounding them at the same spot or grounding them separately is the same, as long as any ground point has <4 ohms resistance to the negative battery terminal.
