I found that link too, but the V1 has a male connector at the end of the wire, it needs to be female. Plus I have my GPS plugged into that one already. Any other options? The detector comes with a clamp to connect onto an existing wire, anyone know what wire that should be?

You cut the connector it comes with and crimp your own
No clamps.

can I connect the ground to any bolt, the one the other wires are connected to is stripped, so I cannot loosen it?

just find another ground.. bolt with bunch of other wires hooked to it. the wire should be long enough to give you a couple of options in the fusebox area.
