This has bugged me since I installed the HU, I goota ask it to get it off my chest.

Okay. Lets say you are listening to your iPod outside of the car. While listening to a song, you decide you want to see what else you have by that artist. You hit the menu button, and the screen switches from "currently playing" to "song list on album". If you hit menu again, it goes to "Albums by Artist".

When you're listening to a song on your iPod in your car, is there some sort of way to go back to the songs on the album? Everytime I want to go back to the songs on the album, I have to search by artist, find artist, find the album, blah blah blah.

There are a few little things with the Alpines that I do not find intuitive. I believe I have the same deck as you but my head is foggy right now. No no, I think I have a 9883.

Either way, I do not really love the Ipod functionality for playing from playlists, searching, etc. I also do not like that I have been noticing lately that despite taking a long drive, my Ipod is not charged. It does not seem to charge it, just power it while it's plugged in.

Why? The 9885 is the previous model of the 9885. Does it have a funtion to bock back one from currently playing to songs on album?

What I DO love about the deck is that you can make a playlist and and play it randomly, unlike on the IPOD itself.

I think that you're absolutely right. I have mine on shuffle most of the time. If I haven't driven the car a day or so, it starts from the first one again. I don't think it charges as advertised. The Ipod is tucked away so I don't want to dig it out to check. The controls on these are not as user friendly as they say.
