...Well, with pulling the seat forward a bit and maybe putting a sub behind it.

I guess there's really no way to tell for sure without actually picking one up and trying to fit it ... any ida of how Crutchfield is on returns if it didn't fit?

I plan on doing new door speakers, amping them and then adding SOME sort of under seat sub to round things out ... at worst maybe if I pick up the Blaupunkt and it doesn't fit I can return it for credit with Crutchfield and just put that towards the other stuff. I'll give them a call sometime this week and follow up.

This would be my solution in a heartbeat if it fit.

Let us know, I'm eagered to find something small and decent. As for crutchfield and their return policies, I heard they are very good with that, so you shouldn't have any problems with returning an item.

Im not sure about the whole fascination with under seat subs, but anyone ever thought about raising the passenger seat a bit to squeeze a better sub under it?
Well maybe not everybody is into the seting off car alarms and using up our already reduce trunk space, and maybe want to keep the spare tire while you are at it

raising seat could be a good solution if everything else fails

Ok i just found a cardboard box that measures 3"X9"X12.75". 1/4" shorter in depth than the Blaupunkt THb 200A, and yes my cardboard box fits tight, but fits. my .2 cents if this helps in any way....

you guys are forgetting the excursion of the sub; you don't want the sub flapping against the bottom (or back) of the seat... I chose the Pioneer sub for its overall performance, it hits hard under the drivers seat in my Xterra, and it only has 6mm excursion (for the 10"). That DUB series 10" has a 1.5 INCH excursion... big difference!!!

Edit: This is about the minimum amount of clearance you will want (pics from the box I made in my Xterra). I guess it's obvious that I don't think a component sub in a custom box is possible under the seats of the S2000.

Dude, if you don't want boom (only fill), high quality component door speakers with an amp behind them will do that for you. If you want a little more, and don't want to use any trunk space, try the RSX sub that goes inside your spare tire. But honestly, what is a little trunk space? I just used the corners of my trunk, didn't touch the spare or the trunkwell, and still have a spare tire that is usable:

Good point will, but that would definely apply when making a custom box but remember about amplified subs ( at least Blaupunkt, clarion and jvc) have a grill covering the sub, meaning the measurements are from grill down. (i think?)
