Have anybody tried this sub?
[QUOTE=gabster,Dec 28 2007, 07:39 AM] im sure you can fit that amp on top of the gas tank.. my Alpine MRV-F345 (bigger) fit in there with no problems and so far i have no overheating issues
would you guys say that an 8" 70w RMS sub under the seat or in the pass footwell will sound better than an 8" 120w RMS sub (with a slightly larger box volume) in the trunk? I'm considering the 2 Blaupunkt units....
thanks

dimensions?
either way they are both 8", i don't think that and a little more wattege would make such a big difference since its going all the way in the trunk, I would stick with an in-cabin solution. its closer and in the same space as you.

the amps are built-in to those dims, of course.
I'd think a sub would sound better in-cabin, esp in a vert, as opposed to the trunk, but I've never heard one of these small subs
Well the first thing I realized when I installed this sub woofer is that it does fit under the seat...however, it does NOT fit under there completely. It is too long to be completely concealed by about 3-4 inches, so instead of installing the sub under the seat, I installed it behind the seat mounted with Velcro.

It took a little bit of tuning but the sound quality of this sub is a lot better than I expected it to be. Although it doesn't give a big BOOM as the larger subs do, it gives more than enough for my tastes. I honestly had to turn it down a bit in order for it to get the bassy sound I was looking for. All in all the install was very easy (just hooked up the remote and 12 volt wires from the back of the headunit, then ground the sub) and I am very pleased with the way these preform.

cool im glad your happy with it, but are you sure it doesn't fit under the seat? did you try to fit it with the seat removed? how far back can you get the seat with the sub behind it?
looks good
