I'm looking to keep all dashboard functionality. I'm all about OEM look and reliability. I don't want to do any hole drilling etc. that may be required of a kit that uses the stock system. The headunit I get must be as streamlined and snug as possible in the slot. I want the door to close just as it does now. If I install speakers, tweeters etc. I would LOVE to be able to keep the stock panels so that it looks as if NO work has been done. As far as sound. I don't need ground shaking bass. I just like a smooth crisp sound with as little distortion as possible. I tend to prefer high treble almost acoustic sounds. Bose is the holy grail of audio to me.

You can get a single DIN HU to fit in the stocks place and still close the radio cover door. You will lose dash controls unless you purchase and install the DCI from either Modifry or another one out there (believe there is also a PAX device as well). You can find plenty of speakers that fit within the door panels that will give your system a good boost. These alone will improve your system 2-3 fold. If you want more, then you will want to consider getting even higher end speakers and then adding the amp and sub. I plan on going with a better system this spring, upgrading from what is in my sig to something that can push a little harder and a little louder (drive with the top down alot!!!).

Plenty of information, but to be able to really help, you have to give us an idea of your budget.

Just picked up an Alpine CDE-133BT and the Modifry DCI and Alpine pnp harness. The deck matches all the requirements you specified. Keeping the speakers stock for now. I just wanted to be able to play my iPhone or iPod while driving and figured it would be better to get a neck deck instead of a Grom or USA-Spec unit.

Just hope I can close the radio door. *crossing fingers*

Could you link me to a shop for that unit? Like amazon or best buy? How was the install?

You can use Google Shopping search for shops or go to Amazon or Best Buy and search for that model. There are DIY head unit install threads here that you can refer to for the install. If you use Modifry's DCI and PnP harness as mentioned above it's a very easy install.
