Bought the car last thursday and I just can't stand the stock stereo. I've decided I'm going to just redo the whole thing next week. I've done many searches about speakers and I've read about what ppl have recommended. I want something better than the cheap sony's but don't want to spend more than $300 like I would on MB Quart, Bostons, or Focals. There are only 2 speakers so I want make the best of them, but at the same time, it's a convertible so I'm not looking for audiophile sound here. I need something that is LOUD and CLEAR.

So, I read a couple of ads that say DEI Audio Neodymium 3065 component speakers are really good and I don't mind the $229.00 off sounddomain.com. I also know a/d/s/ makes good stuff and I just did a quick search and found the A/D/S 236IS 6.5 components for $265.00 from mmxpress.com. Anyone know anything about these or can recommend something in this price range that is availible off the net (I don't like getting shafted at brick and motor sound shops). They need to be component. Infinity kappa perfects seem good too but I'm having trouble finding them online.

I'm planning on a PPI amps unless someone really objects to them. I have one in my stealth powering an eclipse aluminum sub and it's alright.
