Default Help with alternate source of Switched 12V power

Everybody-

I have a Kenwood KDC545U headunit that I love, but the remote turn-on wire in back seems to be a dead end. It does not send any voltage to the amplifier to have it switched on. Is there another source of 12V keyed power that I can tap into for the remote turn-on wire to my amp?

I thought of the wire to the rear 'cigarette lighter', but I believe it is probably a constant 12V, no?

Thanks
Doc

cigarette lighter should work. It is only active if the key is in the ACC position. Did you try going through the menu to see if the remote lead got turned off?

I did check the settings. Everything looks ready to go in that department, thanks.
