Default Help!!!! - I think I blew up my Bel 980 Radar Detector

I was trying to wire up my beloved Bel 980 to my wife's truck for a cross country drive and it just went 'POP'. There is no fuse that I can see inside the unit. I think I have fried it !!!!!

Anyone know where I can get it fixed, I couldn't find the Bel web site, I'm based in San Diego California.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Are you using the power connector that Bel supplies with the 980? If so, did you check the fuse that's inside it?

Yeah I checked the fuse it is fine, I think it is a bit more serious than that.
