Update-
So I found a really old Pioneer deck in my garage so I cut the red little fuse/capacitor thingy off and replaced it on the monitor. Now all is good with the dvd and monitor. Another issue and another thread now.

Glad to here it! Now....might wanna check the part number and order a new fuse to ensure they have the same blow characteristics (cheap laugh) and voltage rating. Glad you got it working though!
