Jeez guys, I've been working ya know. These things take time. Beveled may not be the best description, but the box is definitely NOT flat on the top. And the way that the sub fits, well, you cannot fit in anything larger than a ten. But I'm stoked. And my car will now have a little of the Darkside in it. And that's a good thing.
As you can see there is no sub inside the enclosure yet. But you can tell where it goes from the black ring. I may not have the loudest/most expensive/blingiest/brightest/ stereo, but I certainly have the one that took the longest to build. Or maybe not even, but for me it seems like an eternity:
Great I'm glad your happy! I'm sorry it took so long, but I just didn't want it to be a quick wrap he you go and ship it only for you to get it and be like what the heck.
All you guys do is make me go out and spend more money and redo my system. It sounds great, looks good, but not good enough. Ill wait for darknight to show his so I have to see how far I have to go. A little healthy competition never hurt anyone.....
I don't know if Darknight is making custom enclosures, I bought his old one....
Those are Acoustic Energy Aespirit loudspeakers.
It is an English speaker company. They are quite nice, some of the best mids and highs I have heard for less than a fortune. I've got a powered sub to go along with them, one of your pet peeves, but the sub is fully adjustable outside of the mids and highs. This is an adjustment I feel is necessary due to the many types of music I listen too. Hip hop settings are different than a Billie Holiday album, as are movies. But I need to get a better powered sub, and I know just the guy to find a price for me. . . he lives in NYC, drives a great little sportscar, and always seems to know where to get stuff.... hmmm...
AE make studio monitors for most all of the largest recording studios. Those speakers are known as the AE1, nice but way over budget for me. (about $5000 a piece for a tiny speaker) But Phil you might like them.
BTW Phil, I've got an old ADCOM surround sound processor. Dolby pro logic, if you're interested let me know. It's not quite working, but it's an Adcom, so I'm sure you can put your talents to use...
AE also makes a great sattilite system for all the non-purists out there. It is VERY highly rated. If I had zero audio equipment, and lived in a small apartment I would probably get this setup:
