PJK3,
"lol -- well, if you started off w/ Infinity SM150's, you did better than i"

Naw, I started with a emerson system from sears. Had lots of lights, liked to see it light up when Duran Duran played. Loved it. Haven't looked back since.

"In the early 90s I took great care in assembling a 2 channel home system I could be proud of. Just then a couple of things happened to defeat me: 5 channel home theater took over and I moved in with my significant other. My equipment was banished to the bedroom, even though it barely fits there, so that the living room could have a decent (but not great) surround setup."

Sorry too hear about stereo comprimise from you all. Surround sound just never did it for me, but I've always been a little wierd. I play music mostly, and have no need for surround sound. My wife would rather music than the sparkling light box.

Love car stereo. Love the sound with movement. Much Fun. Spending way too much money on it.

"I'm guessing your conscious wouldn't let you take it for just $50? i can say that i would blame you."

She was a great old lady and she literally gave me stuff, i knew what the palyer was worth and I would hate for her to ever regret meeting me. So yeah, blame me because I've got a conscious. That's the way I'd rather be.

NFRS
"Dang, I know a few things about home theater, but you guys excel me in every department. When I have the casheesh to redo my setup, I know who Im calling...."

Man, I don't now all that much, I just lucked into a few things that I liked, that's all. PJK is the one to ask. Fo' sure. And when I wrote,

" But I need to get a better powered sub, and I know just the guy to find a price for me. . . he lives in NYC, drives a great little sportscar, and always seems to know where to get stuff.... hmmm... "

That was you. So I guess we're gonna keeping asking each other about sound making devices.

& that's cool with me.

Ummm, in a word: no.

My Amps are on the other side of the state, and my speaker connection fell through, so I'm looking for a good deal on some Focal or Phoenix Gold 6.5's components.

The new line of Alpine HU's haven't been sent out yet and I am waiting on one of those, too.

So, I'm in a holding pattern.

But I think I'm gonna do the install myself, well with you guys anyway.

If you need install material let me know I can get it for you. Can you tell me exactly what speakers you want and I'll keep my eyes open for ya. Better yet just list all the equipment you still need for just PM it to me to keep it private if you'd like.
